Hong Kong National Coach Leigh Jones to Conduct High-Performance Camp for Science College

Dr. Leigh Jones, the former Wales and Japan Assistant Coach and current Head Coach of Hong Kong Rugby, will be in town for a short stint to coach the Science College rugby team in preparation for the upcoming School’s Rugby season. Dr. Jones, who has over 25 years of coaching experience at International and Premiership level has been instrumental in the rise of Hong Kong rugby in his tenure.
He masterminded one of the biggest upsets in Rugby World Cup as the assistant to then Japan Head Coach Eddie Jones by formulating the defense strategy for the Japanese team to beat Springboks in 2015. Dr. Jones’ visit has been organised by Bilal Yusuf, the Head Coach of Science College, and well supported by the Science College Rugby Committee. They hope that this will help Science Rugby to fine-tune its engine for a well competed season.
In benefit of the local sports fraternity, Dr. Jones will be conducting a talk on ‘Building the High-Performance Athlete’ at the Royal College Skill Center on January 19 at 4.00pm.
