Open University – New Study Centre at Matale
View(s):Around 300 registered students with The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) living in Matale will not have to come to Colombo frequently from now on. The university just opened up a beautifully-situated Study Centre offering most of the academic and administrative facilities like Day Schools, Access to E-learning Resources, Access to the OUSL Library and Student Registrations. Situated at No 340, Matale Road in a spacious and accessible location this 19th Study Centre in the OUSL circuit was ceremonially declared open by the Vice Chancellor OUSL Prof. S. A. Ariadurai on the 09th of January 2020. Additional District Secretary Mr. L.P. Madanayake and Ms K.P.K.L.P Maduwanthi Divisional Secretary Matale graced the occasion.
OUSL marks this important milestone when the university has reached its 40th year. A pioneer in Open and Distance Learning with 9 Regional Centres (Colombo, Kandy, Anrudhapura, Jaffna, Batticoloa, Matara, Kurunegla, Ratnapura and Badulla) one in each province of the country and 18 other Study Centers namely;Ambalangoda, Galle, Ambalantota, Monaragala, Ampara, Trincomalee, Mullaitive, Killinochchi, Mannar, Puttalam, Kalpitiya, Gampha, Kalutara, Kegalle, Hatton and Bandarawala, Kuliyapitiya, and Polonaruwa totalling 28 Centres island-wide.
