With a little help from this book you can plan your own wedding
When Priyanka Emerson, a professional wedding planner launched her book, “Wedding Planning Workbook” , she drew on her 19 years of experience in organising weddings to present her technique, step by step to the big day. The Wedding Planning Workbook presents all the necessary tools you require to plan a church or poruwa or any other wedding ceremony.
“Girls with their busy schedules and fairytale ideas today tend to miss out on the most important steps in the process. My role for the past 19 years has been directing brides-to-be in their dreams, arranging the weddings to the best of my ability. With my experience I compiled a Workbook which guides everyone in the correct direction leading up to the wedding day. There are some who refrain from hiring planners. That is the reason I wanted to publish this workbook,” says Priyanka.
Timelines, schedules, duty charts, checklists, worksheets and everything else required to plan your wedding have been included.
The second section is the Budget Planning Worksheet, which is divided into several categories. Planning your budget methodically could make a lot of things easy, Priyanka advises.
This is followed by the Vendor Bookings (for example, the designer, florist/decorator), recording all the information from day one.
Then comes the reception procedure and its worksheets and checklists, which covers the church/ poruwa ceremonial duties, music, reception, table plan etc.
Last, it is the wedding day agenda. To cover that you have a fully drafted sample provided divided into all segments along with your respective ritual procedure.
The Wedding Planning Workbook priced at Rs. 1800 is available at all Sarasavi Bookshop branches in Sri Lanka and online through www.takas.lk and www.facebook.com/thebridetribesl , or call: +9476 4050 268
