ANC Students’ Successful Christmas Charity Project
View(s):ANC students successfully organized a Christmas Charity Project on January 4th 2020 with the support of students, staff members, faculty and well-wishers who joined hands to donate Rs. 127,000/- worth of DSI gift vouchers of School shoes, School stationary items and evening snacks for the children who were affected by the Easter Attacks in Katuwapitiya Church.
“It was refreshing to start the New Year taking part in a peaceful activity, says ANC student Shenal. There were around 60 to 70 children between 10 to 12 years of age and they were extremely happy and excited to receive all the gifts and stationary items that we gifted to them. The children gave a beautiful thank you speech expressing their gratitude to all of us”.
“It was a lovely start to the new year and I feel blessed that I had the opportunity to participate at the ANC Christmas Charity project” says President of the ANC Business Club Shenal Lakshan Botheju who joined ANC from St. Peters College, Colombo to major in International Business of Northwood University, U.S.
ANC would like to thank the VOICE for Voiceless Foundation for their tremendous support as well. It was a valuable experience for ANC students and it meant a lot to the Children as well as their Families who witnessed the sincerity and kindness of young students in their efforts to uplift the lives of our people in the community.
ANC has many social and community service activities to inculcate the virtues and values within students and build them up to become active members of the community that create a lasting and positive impact on the world.
