Vidura College Dancing Troupe wins at International Dancing and Music Festival in Russia
View(s):The Senior Dancing Troupe and the Senior Brass Band of Vidura College emerged victorious, defeating teams from several other countries and winning several titles including the Best Cultural Item at the recently concluded International Dancing and Music Festival ‘Moscow Believes in Talent 2019′ held in Moscow, Russia.
They won the awards of Music – Instrumental Music (folk), Best Entertaining Performance, Dancing – Folk Dance Category and Best Costume.
Mr Dinesh Epasinghe, Master-in-Charge of Dancing at Vidura College who choreographed is credited as the driving force behind this achievement of young Vidurians. Vidura College Principal Mr D G Sumanasekera provided support to the students.
The team represented about 30 students from various age categories.
