Christine wins Open title at 3rd Junior Sumo Nationals
View(s):Representing Matale Sports Club, U.L. Christine Gimhani Manik Perera, a student of St. Thomas’ Girls School, Matale won the first place in the Open Category at the 3rd Junior Sumo National Championship 2019 held recently at Kengalle Central College, Wattegama in Kandy. The event was organised and conducted by the Sri Lanka Sumo Federation.
Christine Gimhani said that she is much grateful to her coach N. Weerathna and the Principal of the school, Rev. Sister Mary Dilrukshi, for the guidance and support given to her for the achievement of this milestone. – LDC
