The University of Wollongong (UOW) is a global leader in discovery and learning.

Ranked the 16th best modern university in the world (QS Top 50 Under 50), and in the world’s top 250 by QS, THE, and ARWU, UOW offers a personal and practical approach to learning that prepares you for the workforce.

UOW is one of Australia’s best universities for employer satisfaction. UOW graduates achieve well above the Australian average when seeking work; 75.5% of graduates gain full-time employment within four months of completing their course (Quality Indicators of Learning and Teaching 2019).

Global employers consistently rank UOW graduates in the top 1% world-wide for their capability and success in the global workplace (QS Graduate Employability Ranking 2019).

Students at UOW can choose to study from five Faculties; Business, Engineering and Information Sciences, Law, Humanities and the Arts, Science, Medicine and Health, and Social Sciences. The University also has the University of Wollongong College on Campus, providing excellent Foundation and Diploma pathway programmes as well as English Language programmes.

The University of Wollongong is also classified as a City/Major Regional Centre under the Australian Government’s Skilled Regional Visa programme, which means UOW graduates have access to an additional year of post study work visa (totalling 3 years), plus access to an expanded visa skills list and priority visa processing.

You’ll be welcomed into a friendly and inclusive community of students at UOW, with access to support services that will help you adjust to student life in Australia. UOW also offers an impressive range of scholarships and bursaries for Sri Lankan students. For both Bachelor and Master degrees, eligible students can receive academic scholarships of up to 30% included in their offer of admission. Full scholarships are also available for PhD and Master of Research students. In addition to these scholarships, the lower living expense in Wollongong makes studying at UOW a major advantage.
