Education Ministry appoints committee to decide
View(s): The Education Ministry had appointed a committee to decide on the provision of vouchers or material for school uniforms next year.
The committee of officials from the Ministry had been given a six month period to decide on the system to be followed.
The committee will also look into the advantages and disadvantages of the provision of vouchers and material. This will allow the government to take an informed decision.
They will also consider the views of students and parents about the scheme and their preference.
If the committee decides chooses the issuing of material, an immediate decision should be taken as the material needs to be ordered without delay.
