Girls Under-19 semi-finals this week
View(s):The two semi-final matches of the Sri Lanka Schools Girls’ Under-19 All-Island Cricket Tournament 2019/20 Division II are scheduled to take place at Thurstan College grounds on February 13.
The first semi-final match between Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya and Kegalu Balika Vidyalaya will take place at 9.00am, while the second semi-final match between Princess of Wales College, Moratuwa and St. Joseph’s College, Kegalle will be played at 1.00pm.
It will be interesting to note how the two girls schools from Kegalle will perform against the experienced Colombo schools and if both schools create upsets the finals will be a home and home battle. Winners of the two semis will lock horns to gain supremacy in the finals on February 14 at the same venue with play commencing at 12.30pm.
Prior to the final match the clash for the third place will take place at 9.00am between the losing semi-finalists. – LR
