Arcasia Sports Fiesta 2020 in progress
View(s):The Sports Committee of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA) has finalised arrangements to organise the inaugural ARCASIA (Architects Regional Council Asia) Sports Fiesta in Sri Lanka this month.
The sports fiesta will include cricket, badminton and golf events with the participation of architects of the Asia region and will be held from February 14 to 17.
Badminton matches will be held at the Mercantile Badminton Complex on February 14 and 15. Golf events will be played on February 14 and 15 at the Shangrila, Hambantota while the cricket tournament will be conducted at the Mercantile Cricket Association grounds, D.S. Senanayake College grounds and the Colombo Cricket Club grounds on February 14 and 15. The cricket finals will be held at the Mercantile Cricket Association grounds on February 17.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo on February 17 with legendary cricketer Mahela Jayawardene as chief guest.
Champions trophies and runners-up trophies along with medals will be presented to the winners and runners-up with medals.
