Benefits of studying abroad:
As an international student, you will be able to gain a great deal of international exposure by experiencing a global-learning environment. Studying overseas also gives you an added advantage as you will be able explore new countries and also experience new cultures and life-styles. For example, studying in a European country like UK allows you to visit all other European countries like France, Italy, Greece and Switzerland on a Schengen Visa.
Employers all over the world, particularly multi-national companies value Graduates who have studied overseas as not only do they have an internationally recognized qualification but they have gained considerable international exposure by studying and living overseas.
You will return with not only an internationally recognised qualification but also with a new perspective to life and enhanced communication skills which will give you the competitive edge over the rest when applying for jobs both in Sri Lanka and overseas.
A benefit to studying abroad is the opportunity to discover yourself by being independent while being able to gain an understanding of other cultures and life-styles. Living in a new country by yourself can be challenging at times and it will no doubt test your ability to adapt to various situations while enhancing problem solving and survival skills. By embracing other cultures, you will develop survival skills for personal growth, including independence and adaptability.
