Binadi steals limelight at HFC Sports Meet

Binadi Gunawardhana was the cynosure of all eyes at the annual Sports Meet of the Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya as she ran away with the overall best performer award for his excellent performances in the track.

The 15-year-old sprinter, representing Carmal House was also the overall best performer in track events, best performer in 100m and 200m where she established new meet records in both event. The annual Sports Meet was held at the St. Peter’s College ground on February 12 with Suzanne House winning the championship followed by Carmal and Sebastian Houses in second and third place respectively. Former Sri Lanka Netball captain Surangani Wijendra who was a past pupil of the school was the Chief Guest while former Sri Lanka Tennis star Amrita Muttiah was the Guest of Honour.
