Kavindu cracks unbeaten double century
Kavindu Madarasinghe of Royal College cracked a fine unbeaten double hundred against Trinity College who hung on to draw their Under 19 Inter-School cricket encounter at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy yesterday.
Trinity who were shot out for 165 once again struggled for survival when they ended day 2 on 93 for 5 at stumps.
Royal batted beautifully building up a mammoth 368 for 4 before making the declaration. Madarasinghe’s unbeaten 200 was well supported by Ahan Sachintha who made a valuable 97.
St. Benedict’s were in command against St. Anne’s at Kurunegala.
St. Anthony’s College, Katugastota beat Zahira College in their Under 19 Inter-School Singer Cup one-day encounter at Katugastota yesterday.
