New building complex for Faculty of Technology, J’Pura University
View(s):The inauguration of the new building complex of the Faculty of Technology of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura will take place on March 16 at 10 am, with the participation of the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Sudantha Liyanage and other distinguished guests.
The Faculty of Technology was established in January 2016 and provides higher education opportunities for prospective undergraduates who are enrolling in the university system through the newly introduced Technology stream.
The Faculty of Technology has three academic departments offering bachelor’s degree programmes: Bachelor of Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Bio-Systems Technology, and Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology. Two new academic departments will also be opened for academic activities in the near future.
The fully-fledged faculty located at Pitipana, Colombo (Techno Park of the Western Province Megapolis Development Plan) consists of new laboratories, lecture rooms, staff rooms, canteens and many other facilities.
