‘Rae Ira Paana’: Tuneful bliss in Matara
View(s):‘Rae Ira Paana’, a musical extravaganza powered by veteran lyricist Bandula Nanayakkarawasam, will be held at the ‘Rabindranath Tagore Auditorium’ in Matara on Monday, March 9 at 6.30 pm, featuring a host of popular singers.
Jagath Wickremasinghe, Sunil Edirisinge, Nirosha Virajini, Edward Jayakody, Athula Adhikari, Uresha Ravihari, Deepika Priyadarshani, Charitha Priyadarshani, Rohan Shantha Bulegoda, Shashika Nisansala, Amila Nadeeshani, Iman Perera, Dhammika Bandara, Kapila Poogalarachchi and Wasantha Thilakangani arebilled to perform at the ‘Rae Ira Paana’ radio programme that hit airwaves from 2011 to 2015 dishing out 159 two-hour programmes.
‘Rae Ira Paana’ conceptualised by Bandula Nanayakkarawasam, came as a first live in concert on March 10, 2017 to coincide with the 160th episode of the radio programme.
