The latest addition to Colombo’s exclusive restaurant scene, ‘The Barge’ opened its doors at D. R. Wijewardena Mawatha, Colombo 10 recently. Located in front of Lake House, ‘The Barge’ offers excellent Western and Continental cuisine along with the best of Asian dishes. The top attraction is Sri Lankan specialities and exciting desserts along with new a café concept.

Owned and manage by Gishan Bandarathilake and Nadhisha Perera, the owners of popular Barracuda Restaurants in Dehiwela, ‘The Barge’ is in partnership with Travel Talk (Pvt) Ltd,. Barracuda brand is well reputed for restaurants, offering a laid back beachfront vibe and best sea food in town.

‘The Barge’ is an alfresco style Bar and Lounge with indoor and outdoor seating capacity, overlooking the magnificent Beira Lake and beyond and capitulating its natural beauty and existing heritage structures and features.

Coconut Calamari, Fried cheese balls, Hawaiian Chicken Skewers as starters, Barge style mixed grill, Volcano prawns, Barge style Chicken and cheese Kottu, Wasabi crust Modha, Jaffna crab curry, Negambo prawn curry, Sri Lankan style lamb chop, Prawn San Francisco, Thai seafood and various pasta preparations, Sweet corn chicken, Indonesian style fish fillet and Shanghai style fried noodles with different adds are some of the popular dishes in the menu.
