Urgent appeal for life-saving financial assistance

Six-year-old Samanmalee Perera is suffering from acute liver failure. Doctors have recommended that she undergo immediate liver transplant surgery in order to save her life.

As facilities are not available in Sri Lanka to perform this complicated surgery, arrangements have been made for it to be done at a medical institute in India.

The cost of the operation has been estimated at Rs. 9.5 Million. Samanmalee’s father C. Perera says that with their meagre resources they are unable to raise this large sum to save their daughter’s life. The family is appealing to kind and generous donors to assist them to raise the necessary funds.
