Reengineer rather than reinstate business ecosystem

He said that post crisis, in the short term, the urgent national imperative would be to provide a minimum viable livelihood for its people.
“Thereafter, we need to take an ultra-long-term view and reengineer rather than reinstate the business ecosystem. We should look beyond our own lifespans and tackle the burning issues such as growing consumerism amidst rising income disparity, diminishing health span despite increasing lifespan, mounting social conflicts and a rapidly degrading natural environment, and so on. We need to apply our collective mind, think afresh, and develop ultra-long-term national goals. Businesses must then be founded on a purpose and judged on their impact in supporting these goals,” he added.
