It’s your b’day; so dress up, have a virtual party!
With the lockdown going on for two months, some of us have celebrated or will be celebrating our birthdays in isolation. Here are a few tips that would make your birthday celebration a special one during this difficult time.
Dress up like you are going out
Even though it seems a bit strange, one way to make your birthday or a loved one’s birthday special is to dress up. In addition, if everyone at home dresses up, this would make it feel like a celebration. For the girls, putting on a little bit of make-up and having a little home party, will make the day more special.
Get yourself a tasty treat
With the economy going south, a lot of us are cutting expenditure. However, since it’s your birthday, it is important to also get something nice for yourself -like ordering a few pieces of cake on Uber eats or Pick-me food. Another fun idea would be to try making something at home, which isn’t what most people would do for their birthdays but then again, why not try something new.
Virtual party it up
While our friends and loved ones can’t be with us physically that doesn’t mean that you can’t get them all together and throw a Zoom party. You can also Skype, Google meet and WhatsApp as well. Having everyone together at the same time virtually would definitely be a fun and amazing way to spend your birthday. In addition, the app Houseparty is really fun because it has built in games, such as Pictionary and quizzes and off brand cards against humanity, also fun games that you can play.
Online games
Another idea is to get everyone online over a group call and play free online multiplayer games. One of the best ones is skribbl.io (https://skribbl.io/) – an online Pictionary game. You can also create a private room and play with your friends. What makes the game really special is that you can play a game with custom words that you key in. You can add all the inside jokes and characters for niche stories and play something unique.
So go ahead, get planning that party and make it one to remember!
