University admission: UGC extends deadline

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has extended the date for the submission of online applications for university admissions for the next academic year.

The decision was taken owing to the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country.

The (UGC) had initially declared that the online applications could be submitted from March 26 until April 9, 2020. Now it has been extended until two weeks after schools are re-opened.

Accordingly, June 20 will be the new closing date for the submission of online applications.
