Wasantha Kumara elected Kundasale SC President

Withanage Wasantha Kumara, President of the newly formed Kundasale Sports Club
Former Sri Lanka national boxing coach Withanage Wasantha Kumara was elected President of the newly formed Kundasale Sports Club at its inaugural Annual General Meeting held at the club premises.
Wasantha is the former boxing coach at Seevali MMV, Ratnapura and also the Sri Lanka national boxing coach. He is a three star AIBA coach and followed an Advance Management course conducted by the IOC during his tenure as Sri Lanka coach he had the honour of producing a boxer to represent Sri Lanka at the Olympics after more than four decades in Anuruddha Ratnayake at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Wasantha stated that the club was formed with the aim of supporting talented sportsmen in the hill capital with the focus being in sports like of rugby, cricket, boxing, athletics, football and volleyball. The AGM was conducted in present of two government officials from the Divisional Secretariat of Central Province and was attended by over 100 members who obtained membership.
Meanwhile R.A. Rangana Karunanayake was elected the secretary and R.M.D.B.B. Ratnayake as the treasurer along with 14 executive committee members.
