Historic day for the Sri Lanka Branch with election of the first Chairperson, Renuka Jayamanne, fellow of the Institute was elected for the year 2020 / 21.
The newly elected Chairperson Renula, a passionate hospitality veteran with over 35 years of experience, is an active member of the executive committee of IH Sri Lanka Chapter. She has an established track record of contributing to the development of Sri Lankan women entrepreneurs in the hospitality sector and beyond.
Renuka is also the Vice President of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises in Tourism Sri Lanka, President of the Sri Lanka Bangladesh Business Corporation Council, Executive Council Member of the National Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka, a member of the China Business Council and the Organisation of Professional Association of Sri Lanka and a Board Member of the Association of Emerging Leaders Dialogues.
Renuka along with her committee is focusing on professional development for 2020/21 with Regional Seminars for Hospitality Industry and Catering Workshops for the Sri Lanka Air Force and the Sri Lanka Army.
