Interact implements Covid Control Certification in 43 schools
View(s):Whilst the world is falling apart with over 26 million Covid patients and fatalities touching a million people whilst counties like India crashing at -23.7% GDP growth, Rotary in Sri Lanka is supporting the country with some innovative projects with the 6000 Interactors driving Covid-19 Control Certification at a school level said the Project Director and District Youth Service Chairman Dr Rohantha Athukorala.
Each school is picking the outstanding sports personalities to communicate the new normal required of checking the temperature, keeping a 1 meter distance, washing ones Hands as frequently as possible and wearing a mask which are the basic protocols to be practiced as per the stipulations of WHO and MOH guidelines. This is communicated using social posters, LED screens, leaflets, FB sites of Interact, Linked In and Instagram.
We have gone to the next level of ensuring that retail outlets around a school practicing the above WHO/MOH protocols said head of Interact DIR Rahul Fernandez. As we speak there are w43 schools coming under the ‘ Covid Control process’ and seven of them moving to Certification from Sri Lanka Standards Institution said the The project Director for Interacto Haani Raheem.
