Lanka’s first DJ’s Association formed
View(s):The Ceylon Disc Jockey’s Association (CDJA) was formed recently, with the inaugural General Meeting in Colombo while connecting both the present and past DJs within the industry.
The forming of a DJ’s Association was an idea in the making for many years however, it became more apparent during the hardships faced by many DJs in recent times.
The Board of management consists of a few pioneering DJs who have made a mark as business leaders and entrepreneurs currently in the forefront of Sri Lanka’s DJ and Entertainment Circuits.
The Ceylon Disc Jockey’s Association (CDJA) was incorporated on the 5th of July 2020 under Section 32 of the Companies Act, as a natural progression of Sri Lanka’s Disc Jockey’s community coalescing and sharing their Knowledge and Artistry.
The office-bearers: Chairman/President: Gerry Jayasinghe, Vice-President: Romesh Fernando, Secretary: Kosala Sureshchandra, Assistant Secretary: Chamila Perera. Treasurer: Kapila Peiris, Assistant Treasurer: Thanujika Perera, Serul Wimalasena and Amal Fernando.
Committee Members: Bonnie Perera and Niranjan Wanigasuriya. Advisory Council: Harpo Goonaratne and Roshan Wijeyaratne. Legal and Compliance Officer: Tareeq Musafer.
