‘Dhikthala and Kaalagola’ at Elphinston
View(s):Punyasena Gunasinghe’s theatrical production, ‘Dhikthala Kaalagola’, will go on the boards at 3.30 pm and 6.45 pm on October 18 at the Elphinston theatre Colombo. The play is a prescribed text for the Ordinary Level Theatre and Drama syllabus.
The play with a number of popular songs written by Charles Silva Gunasinghe has a cast comprised of Richard Maanamudali, Jayantha Bandara, Thushari Gunarathne, Isuru Weerasinghe, Upali Bandara, Upali Thiwanka Hewage, Saman Nishantha Gunasinghe, Ranjith Ranaweera and Rohana Wijeya Sri.
Music and lyrics by late Charles Silva Gunasinghe while direction and production done by Punyasoma Gunasinghe. Mahendra Gunasinghe and Nandana Gunasinghe handle drum music and costume design by S. H. Sarath and lighting is by Mihindu Madhushanka.
