Hotline for Suraksha scheme activated
View(s):A hotline has been introduced for students and parents to obtain information about the Suraksha insurance scheme.
This hotline will be active schools are closed due to the COVID situation in the country.
Accordingly, students and parents could call 011-2787979 during office hours to gain information on issues related to the scheme. A senior Education Ministry official said some students and parents had been finding it difficult to contact the relevant school principals to gain the relevant information.
“We will take measures to contact the principals, obtain and clarify the relevant information,” the officer said.
All principals had also been advised to provide the required facilities for students to obtain the benefits from the Suraksha scheme.
“The claims could be handed over to the closest branch if the applicants are not in their original location,” he added.
