ECU’s Bachelor of Science (Cyber Security) provides you with an opportunity to obtain an Australian Bachelor degree. Students are introduced to a comprehensive knowledge of concepts, principles and techniques in the discipline of cyber security.
Emphasis is placed on the practical and theoretical dimensions of cyber security, focusing on a range of fundamental areas, such as network security and vulnerability assessment, information security policy and governance, digital forensics and ethical hacking. Students will apply comprehensive knowledge of concepts, principles and techniques in the cyber security discipline as well as developing creative thinking to identify and solve cyber security challenges.
The course is designed to meet the changing landscape of secure computing, which involves not only computers, but also network enabled devices such as smartphones, tablet devices, and Internet of Things (IoT)
Students will work collaboratively in the application of knowledge and skills while using digital technologies and cyber security software tools for assessing and evaluating cyber security information.
This course prepares graduates for a range of careers via practical experience in analysing and solving real world problems in cyber security and related disciplines, underpinned by strong theoretical concept knowledge.
