Chagall now at new location
View(s):Chagall has moved. Now in its plush new location at Parkland on Park Street, Colombo 2, veteran hairstylist Gerald Solomons cut the ribbon on Tuesday, greeting invitees with his own personal touch – a warm ‘ayubowan’, a nod to these COVID-constrained times.
The salon continues the stark black, white and red theme that Gerald has embraced all through from his muse the celebrated French painter Marc Chagall, after whom his salon is named.
Having begun cutting hair when he was just 15, Gerald initially trained with Moira Muthukrishna going on to work in New Zealand where he lived for over 20 years, before moving to Sydney, Australia and finally returning to give of his expertise to his home country.
