‘Diigawee’: Christain and Buddhist songs under same name
View(s):Well known Christian singer K. A. Prins Lal Perera from Kerawalapitiya, Wattala has recently released two CDs featuring Christian songs and Buddhist songs under the same name ‘Diigawee’.
‘Diigawee’, meaning long life, comprises of a collection of Buddhist songs – ‘Bo Saminduge Sevena Labana Api’ and Christian songs under the name ‘Ape Paw Udesa’ will be distributed amongst the devotees of Catholic churches and Buddhist Temples in the area free of charge.
The lyrics of all the songs in two CDs were penned and sung by Prins Lal Perera himself and the music direction was done by veteran musician Priyantha Nawalage.
