Don’t Test Your Capacity with Poison

As we all have seen there is a specific area called a ‘baby pool’ which is designed for babies as they cannot swim in a 10.0 feet pool. We would not feed koththu to an infant, similarly an infant meal will not provide the necessary strength to a boxer.
Many have gotten into disastrous situations as a result of not evaluating their own capacity. It is advantageous to broaden your capacity but it is also very dangerous to test it by doing things beyond your capacity.
The society is venomous and tempting, its people are saturated with jealousy, hatred, bitterness and pride. According to my point of view, living in this world is comparable to taking a walk at night, in a thick forest with dangerous animals.
When I was 17 years of age, the labourer who worked at the bicycle repairer, offered heroine to me saying that consuming it, is the best feeling one could ever experience in life. I tested it and it destroyed my entire youth. Vehicles that are used to go on safaris are sturdy and well protected for the safety of the people and no one would go in an open cab. It is alright to feed a banana to a monkey but you should not feed a drumstick to a roaring lion.
Even though people have a sound understanding about animals, they seem to lack the understanding about their capacity before the venomous temptations of this cruel world.
Regrettably, people fall into murky pits as a result of testing themselves with poison. Recently a friend of mine called me and said that he met his ex-girlfriend and that they have been having a friendly chat and that they are planning to have nothing but a friendly chat over a coffee. As both of them are married now, I told him “mate, don’t test yourself with poison”. He said “come on mate, it’s just a friendly chat”, but I told him further that one does not get into the trap of sexual immorality overnight.
The first pornography that a person was exposed to at the age of 16 has the ability to ruin his life at the age of 28. Destruction often takes place progressively it does not come as a sudden death. Although he did not listen to me on that occasion he called me not long after and said that he almost fell prey to that occurrence. I told him “Don’t Test Your Capacity with Poison”
When I began the second phase of my life after a devastating inning that was wasted by dangerous drugs and venomous people, I decided to avoid gatherings such as functions, get-togethers and parties for a few years. My friends used to criticise me by saying “we know that you are sober now, even though you don’t drink why don’t you just come and hang around with us?”
I did not respond to any of them, I told myself “Don’t try to test yourself with poison”. One fine day you will earn the capacity to swim in a 10.0 feet pool, till you gain self-confidence it is better to swim in the 3.0 feet pool, then progress to the 6.0 feet and finally to the 10.0 feet when you are self-reliant of your capacity.
Do not test temptation. Simply resist it. By testing temptation, you are assured to gain a miserable life. If you flee from temptation you will undeniably be able to develop your character. In this world there are numerous entities that do not resemble poison at all, but the moment you turnaround after adhering to it you will realise that your life has been severely damaged.
Credit cards can be one such detrimental poison if you do not know how to manage it appropriately. Facebook can be named as another destructive tool that steals your precious time which you could invest exquisitely on your family and occupation. Observe your screen time for a week and you will certainly understand the amount of precious time you are wasting on FB, which you could merely spend with your parents or family. At the verge of entering 2021, I deactivated my FB profile with 5000 friends.
I thought I should restrict myself from using FB in 2021, as it is going to be a challenging year with many business ventures thus time will be priceless. I might return to FB some day when I am confident that I swam well in the 3.0 feet pool and then the 6.0 feet and so I would be fully equipped to get in to the 10.0 feet.
Pride is another catastrophic poison which has destroyed many lives. Simply because your friend is using a better car than you, do not test your capacity by feeding your ego by purchasing a car which you cannot afford. Many wives try to harass their husbands to obtain things beyond their capacity, it leads them to end up paying debts all their lives. Aren’t there better things to do in life rather than paying debts?
The issue is that you have not identified the poison that exists around you. You are unquestionably aware of the main categories of deadly poisons, which only a fool would try, but you are completely unaware of the sugar-coated poisons that are capable of destroying your life completely. As for me credit cards, Facebook, debt beyond capacity, worthless tele dramas, inappropriate relationships and junk food are examples of a few sugar-coated poisons that will take away the happiness in my life.
The danger of these venomous things is that it is addictive just like dangerous drugs. In the short term its deterioration is invisible, but all of a sudden you will realise that it has taken control of you and you have become a slave of these poisons. Will you ever let your child poke his finger into a plug point to learn that electricity is dangerous? contrary you may allow your child to ride the bicycle and even fall many times in order to learn endurance. The wise will decide the limitations of testing wisely. Therefore, you do not need to consume poison to test your capacity as the consequence might be irreversible.
On one hand people who say they do not possess the necessary willpower generally mean that they cannot refuse disastrous desires that are determined by their body and mind. On the other hand you cannot swim in the 10.0 feet pool unless you can swim well in the 6.0 feet. Hence enhance your willpower by rejecting temptations, it has to be initiated at some point or else you will never be able to enhance your endurance. Flee away from poison as it will only destroy your beautiful journey.
When you catch sight of your children exposing themselves to things they do not know, that might be poison someday, please pull them out of those. The world is so wicked that we need to be wise and cautious. We cannot be so foolish as to feed our ego by testing temptations beyond our capacity. Everybody should not try to lift the heaviest weight, the weight lifters will do it, as that is their profession, others could focus on things that they are good at. Will you ever open a parcel after you have been told that it is a bomb?
Likewise, if you identify that the risk of the test or temptation is high, it is better to avoid it rather than trying to test your capacity as you will ultimately end up making an irrevocable mistake.
