Osprey Education Canada Inc, a reputed “Canadian Education Consultancy firm” in partnership with Emergence Education, Sri Lanka has planned the biggest Virtual Canadian University Meet-Up in town from 09th February to 13th February. The purpose of this event is to showcase the benefits that Sri Lankan students would get in choosing Canada as their No.1 study destination.

During the virtual meet-ups, students and parents will have the great advantage of meeting representatives from over 12 leading universities and colleges from different provinces in Canada namely: University of Manitoba, University of Winnipeg, Trent University, Laurentian University, Yorkville University, Mount Saint Vincent University, Seneca College, North Island College (NIC), Langara College, Fleming College, Loyalist College, Winnipeg Collegiate and York University – School of Continuing Studies.

Each virtual meet-up will consist of a comprehensive presentation on studying and living in Canada as well as a Q & A session with the respective university or college representative that would provide students and parents with an opportunity to clear their doubts regarding programmes, fees, scholarships, entry requirements and many other valuable information pertaining to studying and living in Canada.

Students and parents are encouraged not to miss this unique opportunity of meeting the university or college of their choice and gather as much information as possible that would come handy when making an informed decision about their future goals of pursuing a globally-recognized qualification in Canada.

Canada – Your No.1 Study Destination

Canada is very popular destination for students looking to gain a degree overseas, thanks to its many respected universities and its reputation as a safe and welcoming country. With consistently high levels of education spending, it boasts almost uniformly high standards of higher education, with several institutions regularly featuring among the top 100 globally.

These include the University of Toronto, McGill University in Montréal, the University of British Colombia, and the University of Alberta.

With tuition fees lower than many countries, and health insurance cheaper than across the border in the US, it is no wonder that an increasing number of English-speaking students are starting to consider courses there.

A bilingual nation, where more than three-quarters of Quebec’s population are native Francophones, Canada has a proud history of immigration and has long encouraged diversity and multiculturalism.

Canadian culture includes the world

Canadian culture includes people and cultures from around the world. Canada is well known as one of the world’s great multicultural societies.

Canada welcomes people from everywhere. The Canadians place a high value on tolerance. Its national human rights law prohibits discrimination based on race, gender, disability and sexual orientation. Each province and territory of Canada has its own human rights code, too.

Canadians also have a strong sense of justice. This means that they care about people’s rights in the workplace, in the court system, in our democracy and in our homes. Women’s rights are equally important.

The commitment to equality makes Canada a sought-after destination for international students and immigrants. Canada is currently ranked as the #1 best country in the world for quality of life.
