View(s):“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest”

But this investment need not break the bank.
As a Sri Lankan student, it is now possible to obtain a recognised degree at an affordable cost through GISM from universities that have continuously obtained high rankings for teaching methodologies and research work.
GISM is the only Massey University affiliated Education and Research partner in Sri Lanka that has been given the opportunity to send students to New Zealand after completing their first year or, both first and second years of enrolled undergraduate or postgraduate pathway programmes in Sri Lanka. This pathway enables students to save up to 40% of the total cost and obtain a degree that ensures well-paid careers in New Zealand or anywhere in the world.
The Graduate Institute of Science and Management, known as GISM, was founded in 2010 by current President Prof. Dr. G. G. Senaratne, a renowned academic and researcher in Microwave Engineering for Foreign Object Detection & Quality Measurement. Prof. Senaratne was a former faculty member at Massey University, New Zealand and a visiting Professor at Sharda University, India.
The available Undergraduate pathway programmes at GISM include:
10 majors under Bachelor of Business, which include Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, International Business and Information Systems.

Graduate Diploma in Information Sciences.
The available Postgraduate pathway programmes
at GISM include:
Master of Science – Postgraduate Diploma (one year in SL) and Masters (one year in NZ)
Master of Construction in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying (one year in SL and one year in NZ)
GISM’s key goal is to open doors to Sri Lankan students with world-class higher education qualifications from renowned countries such as New Zealand and the United Kingdom at a reasonable price.
Aiming to make the transition as smooth as possible, GISM offers free of charge orientation programmes which empower the students to bridge the gap they encounter living in a totally different environment. All the members of the Board of Directors of GISM are dual citizens of New Zealand & Sri Lanka. They share their international exposure with new students at these orientation programmes and educate them on New Zealand’s history and living style, real world problem solving, and academic writing & communication skill development.
With the Degree Pathway Arrangement, students can study their first year or first two years in Sri Lanka at GISM and move to Massey University or Edinburgh Napier University to complete their degree. This is possible due to the Articulation Credit Transfer Programme through which students earn credits which must be equivalent to the credits offered in the relevant year/s of the overseas University. These credits are then transferred once they move to a university in New Zealand or the United Kingdom and therefore there will not be any effect on the recognition of the qualification that the students gain from overseas University.
After completing their bachelor’s degree, GISM students receive a special 15% discount should they decide to continue with their Masters programme. Also, there is an opportunity for the students to be accompanied by their families when they go to New Zealand for master-level courses. Post completion, students can apply for a work visa. Upon finding a permanent job offer in New Zealand they will be qualified to apply for a permanent resident’s visa.
Due to current Covid restrictions, the border restriction still remains for New Zealand. GISM pathway students can study some of the programmes in Sri Lanka for these degrees and, once the entry permission is given, these students may travel to continue their studies in New Zealand.
Apart from the above mentioned services, GISM’s International Division helps students with direct placement into Masters and PhD studies. Those who are genuinely interested with necessary funds are available, having recognised qualifications with high grades together with some industry and/or research experience are encouraged to send their CV to info@gism.lk
