Disapamock to facilitate E-learning
View(s):Disapamock, Sri Lanka’s most comprehensive and trusted digital educational workspace, is launching its online platform to assist students sitting for the local O/L and A/L examinations to improve their exam performance.
The platform is offering access to its vast resource of digitized material to students, schools and private tuition institutes. The service is a great opportunity for students who are badly affected due to the suspension of schools and tuition throughout the country. Disapamock also offers the opportunity for parents to closely monitor and help their children, it said in a media release.
The platform was developed by capable software and system engineers, and also was approved by the Colombo Zonal Educational Office and was recommended to facilitate and initiate e-learning in government schools.
Disapamock Online Exams offer very unique features for the very first time in Sri Lanka that will help national O/L’s and A/L’s students grow and develop academically by improving their test taking skills. Using the platform, students can write online exams for the last 10 years for any subject in all three languages. Once they have submitted their answer to the online portal, the company’s pool of qualified online examiners will be able to asses them promptly.
Furthermore, Disapamock also offers Online Classes for G.C.E O/L 2021 and A/L 2021 that will assist students to improve their knowledge without leaving their homes. As an added benefit this prevents physical movement and reduce risk of COVID-19 spread among students.
The website enables teachers to deliver live lecturing, upload lessons and assessments, allows students to attempt quizzes, provide answers and provide activities and short notes with a group of professional academic staff. They also provide a facility for students to interact with each other for knowledge sharing with the teachers’ overview.
Teachers and parents using the Disapamock platform can register themselves, invite students to join the online class via SMS, and can pay for their classes by logging in with a unique ID.
Students would require a broadband connection to access the Internet and a smart device such as a smartphone, tab, or computer to access the lessons.
As a special offer the academic team will offer a selected number of free data bundles to assist continuous learning without any Internet issues.
Disapamock is currently running similar online initiative programs in more than 50 schools in Colombo and expecting to launch in Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Galle, and Kurunegala within the next three months.
