Master of Education 10th Intake @ Prospects Academy Applications are now accepted

In today’s context, with the current COVID 19 pandemic and the resulting economic downturn and job losses, it is more imperative than ever before for people to be multi skilled and qualified to have an edge over the others when it comes to job security in the workplace, or seeking employment elsewhere, regardless of the industry a person is employed in. This reality is also evident in the education sector, where teachers need to upgrade their skills and qualifications to face the challenges of the new normal including the use of technology and e-learning and to develop a broader perspective and approach to education and teaching.
Having an internationally recognised qualification related to education and teaching at master’s level would open many avenues for teachers and educators including new career prospects and opportunities both locally and overseas. For teachers employed in schools to gain promotions, be appointed as sectional heads or even for a change of career to the higher education sector, in education management or administration or even lecturing a Master’s in Education would hold them in good stead.

Prospects Academy

Asia e University
Asia e University (AeU) is a unique collaborative multinational university initiated by the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), a body established in 2002 to promote Asian corporation at a continental level. The university was established as a Malaysian government initiative and supported by 34 ACD member countries. Asia e University is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and the International Association of Universities (IAU) and is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in Sri Lanka.
Programme Structure
The Master of Education awarded by AeU consists of a total of 12 modules, including 9 core modules and 3 specialisation modules. Students have the option to specialize in areas i.e Early Childhood Education, Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), Educational Psychology, Instructional Technology, Educational Management, Science Education, Educational Assessment and evaluation, Mathematics Education and Curriculum and Instruction. The duration of the program is 1.5 years.
Entry Criteria
Those with a bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognised university can gain direct entry into the Master of Education program. Teachers with a recognized Diploma level qualification and with a minimum of 4 years of teaching experience, and above the age of 30, can also gain entry into the programme.
The next intake commences in May 2021, and registrations are now open.
