Strong Biceps and Weak Mind Muscles
View(s):As you step into the town you will be able to see many koththu roti shops, similarly gyms have become so famous amongst the people.
Men and women are completely convinced that they have become so busy improving their body tone. Their utmost intention is not merely being physically strong but they also intend to be attractive in this highly competitive society. Physical strength is undeniably above all when you reside in a jungle, as the animal’s survival exclusively relies on the physical strength it has over its counterpart.
Unfortunately, some people tend to believe that they are living in a jungle. Therefore, they think that the key criteria for victory is based on the growth of the muscles in their body, but they are evidently incorrect. The survival in this concrete jungle is merely dependent on your mental strength. The true battle in life is not merely in the physical realm but in the mental arena.
Where ever you may go, it is about a mind game. Even though you work hard on your biceps, you will not be asked to wrist wrestle at an interview. Although you thrive hard to work towards your six packs, none of the key performance indicators in the corporate world demands for a six pack.
The success of your marriage is absolutely based on love and affection and not on how attractive you are, as attraction fades away overtime. You may like someone for his looks, but you will start loving that person only by knowing who he is. I do not intend to say that working out towards building your muscle tone is insignificant, as I also focus on my physical well-being because my mind cannot function well if my physical structure fails. Nevertheless if you prioritise building biceps over the muscles of your mind, nobody can stop you from losing the battle of life. In the recent past we witnessed many smart actors committing suicide. Their body muscles were strong yet their mind muscles were utterly weak to fight against the mind games. Though the number of gymnasiums have increased within the country, there seems to be no decrease in the number of suicides and mental patients who are admitted to the hospitals or treated in-house.
The real game begins the moment you start living your own life. However, what you must understand is that the game is not in a physical ring, but in the mind realm, where you are compelled to battle continuously against your own thoughts and attitudes. We must pay more attention in enhancing our mind capacity over our physical strength. Our mind muscles need to be strengthened on a daily basis.
It is essential to train your body muscles, but it is even more important to focus on the mind muscles as the battle is purely set on the mental frame. Just as you train to increase your physical capacity to lift weights, you could also improve your ability to handle challenges and pressures in life. They could be managed well if you focus on developing the capacity of your mind. If an outbreak exceeds the limit your mind can handle, your mind will standstill at that point, just as a machine halts when it is subjected to a high voltage exceeding its capacity.
Enhancing your capacity is the only way to thrive towards victory in this fierce and wicked world. I continue to state that this world is wicked, I am sure that you agree with my statement.
Please allow me to guide your mind towards consciousness with regard to the mind battle you are facing on a daily basis. Jealousy and selfishness are all over your mind, they attempt to capture some space and set foot on it. If you permit it to take root, it will steal your peace.
Thoughts of hatred will always exist due to the numerous hurtful deeds people do to you. Those hateful thoughts will always attempt to take control of your mind, it may even paralyse your mind. Anger and bitterness have already taken control over the lives of many yet they are still living a life scorching in them. Likewise, rejection has made many people mentally ill. In the current society people are drastically controlled by fear which is a byproduct of rejection.
I am going to ask you an open question, expecting a genuine answer from you. During the day, out of the 18 hours you spend awake, how many hours are you living in complete happiness and how many hours do you spend in misery?
Many people start their day grumbling over the problems of the previous day. They carry those complications throughout the entire day, with a load of groaning and mourning. Some people do not even feel the taste of the delicious meal they are consuming. Their only happiness is talking about another person who is in great misery. They spend the entire day in misery and finally end the day in misery and lie down in bed, their mind set makes them even dream miserable dreams.
Out of those who consult me to solve their problems, 90% of them are living in misery. It is indeed a very sad and bad situation. Aren’t we suppose to live a happy life? People constantly talk about heart attacks yet they discuss the least about mind attacks. Mind attacks are so common today but people tend to consider it unimportant. Parents are extremely keen on dumping an enormous load of knowledge and information into a child’s brain, yet they focus very less on preparing the child for the mind battle which they cannot escape in the future.
Think for a moment. Where is your focus? Strong biceps will not make you a winner, but strong mind muscles will surely elevate you to fly high.
People are very fond of the cutlets that my wife makes. The main reason behind those yummy cutlets is the pure coconut oil and the good fish she uses to make them. ‘You reap what you sow’, this is a common life principle that none of us can escape. If you think you can revert this principle, you are imprudent to think so, it is as though you are awaiting to pluck Apples out of the Pear seeds you have planted.
What are you feeding your mind? Are you exposing your mind to dramas, songs, discussions and get-togethers which are filled with jealousy, hatred, bitterness, anger and rejection? Fruits and vegetables easily grow in soil, similarly the thoughts you allow in to your mind will grow within your mind. Even though it is difficult to illustrate the mind in a drawing, it depicts your body in the form of a ground with its own structure which is enabled to grow. Take a firm decision today to spend more time in working on toning your mind muscles.
Formerly I used to have a very bad temper, I have even fought with the cops while I was abroad, but today I could remain silent even towards a bus driver who yells at me for nothing but driving right. I believe I inherited it from my mother’s DNA, but the happy news is that if you make a decision to change, you can undeniably change any inherent DNA. Therefore, remember that strong biceps are of no use before weak mind muscles.
