Iron wings celebrated

“Glory of Iron Wings,” a commemorative publication to mark the 70th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF), was launched this week.
The publication, scripted by officers of the SLAF, examines the trajectory of the Force encompassing all that it has achieved. The book lays out the SLAF’s journey from its founding in 1951 to date. The Air Show was also attended by the visiting Chief of the Air Staff, IAF, Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria and Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat.
