Kurunegala YCC, Police SC feature in a thrilling tie

Kurunegala YCC and Police SC featured in a thrilling tie in their final Group ‘C’ round robin match of Major Club T20 cricket tournament match played at the CCC ground yesterday.
The two sides ended with identical score of 155 but with the group matches which came to end as Kurunegala YCC ended in the second position to SSC which ensures them a slot to the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile Ragama CC recorded their fourth win of the tournament with a comfortable 6-wicket win over Saracens SC in the match played at the NCC ground.
In other matches that were played saw Negombo CC along with Air Force SC, Moors SC, Bloomfield, Tamil Union and Galle CC winning their matches.
The four group leaders after the completion of the matches yesterday are CCC, NCC who both have won all the five matches that they have played, SSC and Army SC.
The top two teams in the four groups will qualify to play in the quarter finals. The round robin matches will end day with six matches down for decision.
