“Study Abroad”will open your horizon to a brighter future
All students in any part of the world aspire to have a good education, enter into a satisfying career and lead a happy and a contended life. However, this opportunity is not available to majority students especially from countries like ours, due to many reasons beyond their control. It is for this reason they aspire to go to foreign lands, receive higher education of their choice from well recognised institutions especially at tertiary level and make their future life a stable one.
Normally, as a leading university representative in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, we would have arranged university representatives and academics to visit us at least twice a year. We would facilitate prospective students and parents to meet them face to face to get first-hand information to make critical decisions to Study Abroad. The current pandemic has put a hold on these activities and even holding of examinations since early 2020 and there are no signs of getting back to normalcy till possibly end of 2021.
A good number of students and parents did not let the current plight affect them. They commenced their tertiary studies on-line in the last two intakes and they have done exceptionally well in their academic paths and also earned an advantage over their peers who put their future on hold. With the advancement of technology, we are now able to take a step further and arrange a series of “Meet the University Representatives and Academics directly” virtual sessions as given below.
On Saturday 27th March – from 3pm to 6pm – meet with selected UK and Ireland Universities
On Saturday 27th March – from 6.30pm to 9pm – meet with selected Canadian universities
On Thursday 01st April – from 3pm to 5.30pm- meet with selected Malaysian & Vietnam universities
You will be able to log in to a system that resembles an actual function hall and visit the universities you wish to speak to.You are able to ask as many questions as possible to get clarifications on what the university course you intend doing offers, how is studying with the university living as an international student in that city, are there any scholarships and how eligible you are for such merit-based scholarships, what openings are there for you to get industry exposure and work experience placements, the acceptance of the intended course within the country and also internationally etc. You can connect with the University representatives either via text chat or a video call. You can even view or download the university prospectors. You can also lodge application and receive on the spot application fee waiver.
Whilst the university staff can explain the above aspects, Edlocate counsellors will take on the task of obtaining placements to student visa issuance with correct guidance at each step for you to studyabroad within your financial capabilities. This has been the strength of Edlocate for well over two decades. We have helped thousands of students over these years.
Even if you may have to start for a few months’ studies on-line, the professional ways the foreign universities have delivered their courses since the pandemic started clearly proves their professionalism and adaptation to necessary changes. Students will study the same syllabus, learn from the same lecturers, meet the same class mates and experience the same library and other teaching material they would if they were on-campus. There are already plans by many developed countries to bring in international students to commence on-campus studies in the year 2021.
To register for these events which would not cost any money, or for more information, please feel free to call us on 0771770361.
