Rotary supports – Global Covid-19 vaccination drive
View(s):With almost 139 million Covid -19 cases and closing on 3 million deaths worldwide Rotary International announced that a joint task force has been created to guide and support the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and also play a lead role from the community for people to get vaccinated.
The newly formed group will also share information promoting vaccine acceptance, and encourage service projects to stop the spread of the disease, such as social distancing, wearing masks, and washing hands frequently said Rotary International trustee Chairman K.R Ravindran.
Rotary have in the past a successful history of getting things done when help is needed. We must now extend this support to the management of the Covid-19 virus as the world is battling one of the toughest health issues history said Sri Lanka K.R Ravindran who is the Chairman – Rotary International Foundation.
