Excelsia College, Sydney final call for ‘Global Online Music Audition’!
View(s):Excelsia College is thrilled to unveil our Global Online Auditions programme. We are excited to be offering virtual auditions for the domestic and international community starting from April for our world-class creative degrees.
This initiative allows prospective students to audition online for the Bachelor of Dramatic Art, Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Screen Production, offering a remote alternative to face-to-face auditions.
We know how difficult this past year has been for people across the world, with disruptions due to COVID-19 and more uncertainties than usual about what happens next. Our aim is to take as much anxiety away as possible by giving you a unique opportunity to showcase your talent from wherever you are in the world.
Our audition procedure is designed to enable us to find out about you – not just how good a performer you are, but what sort of a person you are, and to assess whether you have the potential to benefit from our approach. We aim to provide a positive and friendly atmosphere, and we want you to enjoy yourself while conducting your audition.
Excelsia College is looking for the next global phenomenon. And it could be you! We cannot wait to discover the new creatives of the future.
With the motto of ‘Turning your Passion into Profession’, we have been conducting music auditions in different countries providing opportunities to young and vibrant students to pursue music as their career and study in Australia. In 2021, we are bringing participants from different countries to one platform where our judges will provide feedback and welcome them to apply and study Bachelor of Music or Master of Music and Excelsia College.
SUITABILITY ASSESSMENT
n Interested students between the age 18-23 or completed Year 13 or equivalent.
n Those above 23 years of age could also apply to audition for Masters in Music.
n Students shall provide proof of their identity at the time of registration e.g. National Identity Card or Passport Bio Page. Please submit a scanned copy.
n Must register before 30 April 2021 their interest to participate by submitting 1 to 5 min video to: student.campaign@excelsia.edu.au
n The online music audition will determine placement for studying Bachelor of Music or Master of Music at Excelsia College, Sydney.
n Students shall meet academic and English requirements to be offered a placement and scholarship, in addition to being successful in audition. Willing to undertake studies in Australia by meeting all academic and GTE requirements.
n A band performance will be considered as one performance however the individual performers may express their interest to be assessed.
n Language: English (if done in local language then provides explanation of the performance). Contestants can submit their videos directly or via Excelsia College channel partners in Sri Lanka.
The selection criteria will be based on the performance however, since this is also about studying in Australia there are academic standards that needs to be met by students. Few among the selected ones will also be provided with the scholarship of up to AUD$ 15,000 for the entire duration of the course.
