Lanka Lions ‘Dance into the Lights’ in Dubai

Lanka Lions Sports Club, UAE held its 44th Annual Dance ‘Dance into the Lights’ a virtual musical concert on 9th April. The event was streamed live on YouTube and Facebook.
Fabulous band BLACK with talented Ranil Amirthiah did a marvellous job to keep the revellers that had formed in groups in UAE, Canada and Australia on their feet until the wee hours of the morning.
The legend of Sri Lanka music biz superstar Sunil Perera and the show biz diva Corrine Almeida added flavour to the entertainment with their dazzling performances. Show host Clifford Richards did a splendid job entertaining with the mic.
The event was streamed live from the Grand Ballroom of Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel, Colombo, which was graced by a few past presidents and stalwarts of the club now settled in Sri Lanka such as Roshan Allang, Ranjit de Silva, Ifthi Ahamed, Randy Welikala and their spouses.
Airline tickets were given away as prizes for competitions held virtual, courtesy SriLankan Airline and Groove Zone Disc Jockey Dubai. These were among the many other fabulous prizes that were given away throughout theshow.
The organising committee head by Project Chairman and Past President/Current Trustee Suren Swaminathan, also included Senior Trustees Roger Rodrigo and Gamini Kannangara, past presidents Sumedha Dharmasena, Samantha Fernando, Ranil de Silva, Suresh Gunatillake, and longstanding stalwarts Heshan de Silva, Srija Silva, Priya Cooray and Roshan de Silva among others. It was a grand show that only ‘Lanka Lions Dubai’ is famed to provide the type of entertainment for the expatriate Sri Lankan community living in the UAE. The main sponsors were Thambapanni Restaurant, SriLankan Airlines, Metito and Frico International.
