Amrak Institute of Medical Sciences is an educational provider that enables students to break into the healthcare industry. Amrak provides state of the art lecture/seminar rooms, Skilled Lab facilities, Bio-engineering labs and access to the Durdans Laboratory network Island Wide. All students will be a part of the AMRAK STUDENT UNION AND Alumni network with access to restaurants, events, training programs, executive workshops and the AMRAK Job bank.

In line with its objective of establishing a highly skilled and knowledgeable healthcare workforce in Sri Lanka, the Institute offers short term and long term courses (certificate level, diploma, higher diploma, degree), which can be conducted online or on campus. Whether the individual is a working professional hoping to progress their education or a full-time student, Amrak focuses on courses that are in-demand and career rewarding.

The AMRAK School of Nursing offers a wide range of courses providing Foundation, Higher Diploma and Degree programmes for students completing O levels and A levels. Qualified Nurses have the opportunity to focus on specific skills such as infection control, trauma nursing, neonatal nursing and more to upskill their current profession.

Amrak Institute of Medical Sciences is a subsidiary of Durdans Hospital, with 75 years of providing private healthcare in Sri Lanka. In addition to first-hand practical experiences using these facilities students will be mentored by highly qualified industry personnel who customise the experience, ensuring delivery of result-oriented training.

Students enrolled at AMRAK will be provided real world experience and training with Durdans Hospital and have the opportunity to pursue employment within the private healthcare sector or the multiple foreign pathways leading to United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Japan.
