APIIT offers Salesforce Development Training
View(s):The Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) now offers a Salesforce Development Training Programme, the first of which took place in partnership with Wiley Sri Lanka, a fully-owned subsidiary of John Wiley & Sons Inc.
The six-week workshop kicked off in January 2021 through a series of online sessions that saw over 80 registrations. The customised training programme was developed with the aid of senior salesforce industry experts at Wiley Sri Lanka, which provides product engineering and technology operations to the Wiley Group using world-class technology.
Salesforce is a cloud computing SaaS company specialising in customer relationship management that allows businesses to use cloud technology to connect with their customers – both existing and potential – and partners more efficiently.
A product of Salesforce.com Inc., the enterprise software focuses on cloud, mobile, social, Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. Its services are configured and integrated with other platforms and enterprise applications and are delivered via Internet browsers and on mobile devices.
The Salesforce Company was rated the sixth-best company to work for in 2020, making Salesforce a highly sought-after addition to one’s portfolio. In addition, it is projected that by 2024, there will be 4.2 million jobs available in the Salesforce domain; thus APIIT’s Salesforce programme opens several career opportunities for its hopeful participants, providing them with a well-rounded introduction to the domain and training in Salesforce development.
The Trainer, Salesforce Administrator, App Builder and Developer Nipunu Wijesingha, has been a lead consultant at Virtusa for over eight years and a lecturer at APIIT for over seven years. Speaking on the programme, he said, “It was a great workshop. The majority of the participants were fresh graduates from all most all the universities in Sri Lanka. There were several international participants as well. A considerable number of participants who are currently working in the industry also joined this training. It was really great to work with such a diverse set of participants who were very enthusiastic to learn Salesforce.”
Wiley Sri Lanka was closely involved in the preparing and reviewing of the programme’s content. Selected candidates of the programme were also offered job opportunities at Wiley Sri Lanka upon completion of their training.
Speaking on his experience during the programme, Wiley Associate Software Engineer Pubudu Palihakkara said, “Coming from a QA background, the training conducted by Nipunu Wijesinghe was my introduction to Salesforce Development. He delivered the content in a very engaging way, inspiring me to learn more about Salesforce. The training sketches a road map for newcomers to follow when starting to learn about Salesforce, and it helped me tremendously to change tracks from QA to Salesforce development.”
The next session is set to commence in July 2021. For those hoping to expand their horizons and become a developer of the world’s best-valued CRM, more information can be found on our website at www.apiit.lk, or by calling on
