‘Asammathaya’ by PRIVATE hit the top of hip-hop
The young talents in Sri Lanka are now opening out to the world stage through many avenues. The creators are using the current pandemic situation to produce the best creations to the larger audiences.
‘PRIVATE’, the newest hip-hop artiste in town is who is keen to show up the real meaning of hip hop for the Sri Lankan hip–hop audience. Creations of ‘PRIVATE’ take the Sri Lankan hip-hop music industry to a new dimension. He works as underground artiste and hip-hop artiste for the time being and his several creations will be released in near future.
Asanga Salgamuhewage, popularly known as ‘PRIVATE’ is an upcoming hip-hop artiste with new vision and placed his final aim at the world stage.
‘It is lugubrious to say that most hip-hop artistes in Sri Lanka juxtapose this art with off-colour jokes. Not everyone, but I would say most of the new hitters are not understand the meaning of hip- hop. I want to create the shining path to my music career through real hip-hop style that acknowledges the world stage’ Asanga said.
His latest creation ‘Asammathaya’ featuring Niroda Vancuylenberg touches the new reality of the hip –hop industry.
Hence ‘PRIVATE’ came to the hip-hop floor to breathe the new life to the industry with his voice, that shifts seamlessly between melodic and deep meanings, which are included in the reality of our lives. It’s clear that after listening to his first track/creation ‘Asammathaya’ which was included the prevailing system and dropping from the grasp. In the same breath, he shows up social calamities and vitality in the process.
He always tries to give some message to our society and it’s the power of his creations. Creations of ‘PRIVATE’ take the Sri Lankan Hip Hop music industry to a new dimension.
His only hope is to take his creations to the international arena and spread his universal message all over the world.
‘Heenaya Hanga’ featuring Umesh Fonseka(Dream Star Singer) and ‘Thaus Wes’- Solo track will be the next releases for ‘PRIVATE’.
