Ed. Minister keen on solving teachers’ salary issues immediately

Dinesh Gunawardena, who assumed duties as the new Education Minister recently, lost no time in calling education trade union representatives for discussions to resolve the outstanding salary issues of teachers. At the end of the discussion, trade union representatives told the media that the discussion ended on a positive note. Minister Gunawardena is seen holding discussions with Ceylon Teachers Union (CTU) Secretary Joseph Stalin and trade unionists.
