Ed. Ministry to hold discussions over pending education issues

The Education Ministry is planning to have open discussions with teacher trade unions to resolve a string of outstanding issues related to education.

The 2020 G.C.E O/L exam results and the upcoming 2021 grade five scholarship and G.C.E. A/L exams are among the issues to be discussed.

Education Minister Dinesh Gunawardena presided over a meeting this week and spoke to senior officials of the Education Ministry and Examination Department.

A final decision was to be taken, but it postponed for next week, giving time for teacher unions to respond.
