As the United States marked the 20th anniversary of 9/11 yesterday, with solemn ceremonies at the 9/11 memorial in New York and elsewhere, the Wall Street Journal on Friday published this photograph of a Sri Lankan survivor of the attack as an illustration to an article headlined ‘Photos That Defined 9/11, and the People in Them—20 Years Later’. The man in a jacket was Port Authority Chief engineer Srinath Jinadasa, seen here in a jacket. He escaped the attack on North Tower on 9/11. He lived then in Rahway, New Jersey. He is now retired and lives in Jacksonville, Florida. Pic courtesy Phil Penman.
