University of Peradeniya included among world’s top 500 universities once again
View(s):The University of Peradeniya has been ranked among the world’s top 500 universities for the third consecutive year and the number one university in Sri Lanka according to Times Higher Education Ranking 2022.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings is one of the largest and most comprehensive rankings. The 2022 ranking includes more than 1600 universities in nearly 100 countries and territories.
This year the University of Oxford tops the ranking for the sixth consecutive year.
The Times Higher Education ranking takes core areas, such as teaching (the learning environment), research (volume, income and reputation), citations (research influence), industry income (knowledge transfer) and international outlook (staff, students and research), into consideration when ranking universities.
