‘No time to Die’ in Colombo
‘No Time to Die’, the latest Bond movie, released in Sri Lanka on Friday, 12th November, now runs to a moderate capacity in the cinemas in and around Colombo. ‘No Time to Die’ is the twenty-fifth in the Bond series and Daniel Craig in his fifth and final outing as the fictional British MI6 agent James Bond.
The long-awaited movie was originally scheduled for release in April, but the date was changed due to the ‘Corona virus’ pandemic, with a new date of November 25 being set back in March. But now, the official Twitter account for the project has confirmed that its release date has been moved once again to 12th. The upcoming movie will mark Daniel Craig’s last-ever outing as the iconic character, which the actor insisted he was ‘fine’ about.
He said: ‘I’m really… I’m OK. I don’t think I would have been if I’d done the last film and that had been it. But this, I’m like… Let’s go. Let’s get on with it. I’m fine.’ The actor also insisted he isn’t too worried about his post-Bond career.
In the movie Bond has left active service. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help, The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond on the trail of a mysterious villain who’s armed with a dangerous new technology.
