Isipathana College Organising Committee under the leadership of the Principal Mr Oshara Panditharatne Felicitated Distinguished Old Boys Flag Rank Officers of the Three Forces and the Deputy Inspector General’s of Sri Lanka Services who have done yeoman services to the Motherland. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Old Boy Maj. Gen. Priyantha Perera Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Special Guest of Honour Dr Jagath Alwis. A total of 24 Officers including 4 Major Generals & 6 Brigadiers of Sri Lanka Army, 5 Rear Admirals and one Commodore from Sri Lanka Navy, One Air Vice Marshall & one Air Commodore from the Air Force and Two Senior DIG’s and 3 DIG’s from the Sri Lanka Police were felicitated at this Special Function which was held at the Ramada Hotel, Colombo main Banquet Hall on 19th November, 2021.
The function was carried out with participation of distinguished Old Boy invitees limited to 100 guests in accordance with the present Health Guidelines. Supporting facilities for the function were arranged with kind courtesy of the Army Commander Shavindra Silva and the Army Cultural Troop Entertained the Guests. A well compiled Special Magazine was published for the occasion which included details of the Officers Felicitated that evening as well as of other over 300 Old Boy Officers who are in service Or retired from the Three Services and the Police, College History in Cadetting and College Drum & Fife Band, with the inclusion Memorable Photographs.
